We had our dinner Aubergine Restaurant, another French cuisine. The food were better than the one we had at 39 Bistro. But of cause, the service at 39 Bistro was the best. However, please be reminded that if you want to go to this restaurant, it is advisable to a taxi down.

After a tired shopping at Platinum mall, we headed down to 7 seafood restaurant to our seafood dinner. However, we can conclude that the seafood in Bangkok suckz!! Although it is cheap but it is not worth the money. I would rather save the money to buy more clothes. =)

WET MARKET @ BANGKOK (PART 4)

During this trip, we had slot in a cooking class in our itinerary. However, this was not an ordinary itinerary. The earning of this cooking class was to support the residents that live in the slum area. It was a meaningful and fun trip. We went to the wet market to shop for the ingredient for our cooking class. This was our 1st time shopping at the wet market in oversea. It was a memorable experience for us. There were live animal, seafood, fruits and lots of different kind of rice and was ten times bigger than our wet market.

On our 1st night of Bangkok, we went to a French restaurant Phrom Phong area. It was one of the expensive restaurant. However the services were excellent. Two thumbs up for their service. The food were not bad but there are still room for improvements.

After taking photos of the hotels, we went to have our lunch at ISAO. It was a Japanese restaurant that is located at No. 5 Sukhumvit Soi 31. The place is about 15 – 20 minute walk from our hotel.

The main dishes were normal but the sushi was marvelous especially those creative sushi. We were only allowed to take the photos of our food. =( I shall let the photos do most of the ‘talking’.

SACHA UNO HOTEL @ BANGKOK (PART 1)

Once again, we are back from Bangkok. It was another worry trip for us. But this time round was not another riots but it was a natural disaster, flood. But we are always lucky that we did not really meet the 'peak' of the situation. It was a fantastic trip however we create a 'big hole' in our wallets. This time round we stayed at a hotel called Sacha Uno that was within walking distance from Asoke BTS. And guess what, this was the 1st time that we had rooms upgraded to Deluxe.

The room was fantastic. It has a very big and comfortable bed. However, the privacy of the toilet was a little low. There was no lock for the toilet door. Blinds were used to cover the glass panel between the shower area and the bed. When you open the door of the cupboards, you are able to see the toilet. All in all, we had a great stay at the hotel! Highly recommended!

We had our dinner at club street using the coupon that we had bought online. Never judge the restaurant by the size of it. They might sell great food too. Spizza is one of those small restaurants that requires you to make a reservation before going down unless you don't mind waiting to get your seats.Seriously, it has been a long time since our last visit. We kinda forget how it taste like but rest assure the pizza were not bad. Overall Rating: 3.5/5

We bought a coupon a few weeks back that give us deals on stone grill food. Therefore we decided to give it a try. The cafe is located along Arab street. It is a small cafe however we were amazed with the taste of the food. The food were tasty and there was free flow of ice cream but those 'all time favourite' flavours are not refilled. Overall rating: 3.5/5

We went to Ultimate Ramen Champion at Iluma. There are 5 different stalls with different chef in the restaurant. We decided to try the ramen stall called Ikkousha. It was at the extreme left in the restaurant. The soup was not too salty but the cha siew was a little fatty and it was not as soft as some other ramen restaurants that we had .Overall rating: 2.5/5

Thanks to Omy, we got to watch Johnny English reborn today for FREE. =)Rowan Atkinson, as Johnny English, is a secret agent in MI-7.He is Her Majesty's Secret Service intelligence agent that must stop a group of international assassins before they eliminate a world leader and cause global chaos.Overall, the storyline was not very strong. We find the movie funny but in a lame way. However, what would you expect if 'Mr Bean' is in the movie. It was indeed a good way that you could yourself after your long hours of work.

We found this cafe online that has very good reviews on their scones therefore we decided to give it a try. However, we headed down too late, their famous raisin scone was sold out so we bought the normal scone.

A few weeks back, we went to try out a new restaurant in Marina Square. It was located in a corner that it will be easily missed. The ramen that we tried were not bad. It was indeed a healthy ramen. It has a unique taste that I had not tried before in other ramen restaurant.

We went for a photo-shoot session at East Coast Park before my laogong officially join the workforce. After which, we dine in at a restaurant named Ju Shin Jung at east coast parkway. Once again, the food festival is here. But this round, the stalls were mainly setup by local cuisines. Unlike last year, there were a number of stalls from Taiwan. Although the payment system, which actually save the hassle to make the payment by coupons, we did not grab a lot of food to eat due to the varieties. Therefore, we headed back to The Central to find a place for our dinner. After making our rounds, we finally decided on a restaurant called Fine Cuts. The owner designed the restaurant in the way that it gave the customers an impression of eating in a supermarket (At least to me, I felt that way =x).

A few weeks back, we bought Mad for Garlic deals voucher at Suntec city. But this round, I asked my friend to join us as it was her favorite restaurant. However, we headed down to Godiva shop first to grab a cup of mint chocolate drink as I knew that she will be late. The drink was superb! The chocolate was rich and the mint taste was strong. Highly recommended by my laogong friend, Meiqi.

The service for mad for garlic restaurant irritates me a little. We have to constantly ask the waitress to refill our ice water. The ambiance of the restaurant was ok but I find that the tables were slightly too close to each other. Overall rating: 3.5/5

Once again, I was selected to watch the Funkygrad Movie Tribe screening organised by Shaw organisation. This time, the screening was at a special theatre located near their office. The seats were great but not their sound proof system. As for the movie, the pace was too draggy and the story line was a little weak. However, there were some funny scenes. The movie was about a man called Henry who was has no ambition, dream or purpose. He became a bank robber unknowingly and went to jail without revealing the real culprits. Upon his release one year later, Henry found his purpose. He decided to become a real bank robber. And the story began... how Henry goes about his plans of robbing the bank and how he fall in love with an actress... Overall I will give the move a 1.5/5 stars.

MY SISTER'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION @ ARANDA COUNTRY CLUB

This year, my sister booked a chalet at Pasir Ris to celebrate her birthday. This time round, it was at Aranda country club which is more convenience for those that take bus there. The place was very big. The size of the chalet was like a normal HDB 3 room flat with a balcony. I love the place mainly because the rooms including the living room were air-conditioned. =)

A few weeks after my sister celebration, we celebrated my Mum's birthday at home with a cake bought from City Square @ JB. It was from a cake shop called Lavender. The cake was marvelous. Do give it a try if you have a chance to go there.

Once again, we went for a groupon dinner =). This time round is at a new shopping mall that is located at Bedok. It is called Bedok Point. About 80% of the tenants are restaurants which brings our interest to come back again next time to try them. KungFu Paradise is obviously under the Paradise group. It serves chinese and western food. The price of the food is quite reasonable and this is what I love about paradise group restaurant. =) Overall rating: 3/5

After the revamp of Takashimaya basement 2, we finally decided to try the food at the restaurant. The restaurant served full bowl and half bowl ramen. It caters for those that are not big eater. The place was a little small. So the best is to avoid the lunch/dinner crowd. Overall Rating: 2.5/5

Recently we bought the deal voucher for a Italian restaurant that was located at UE square. The ambiance was quite ok but the price of the food was quite steep for the food quality. The service was quite good as they were very responsive. Overall Rating: 2.5/5

Due to my busy schedule, I have pushed this entry for almost 2 months =X partly was that I am too lazy to blog after my Taiwan graduation trip. I am still in a travelling mood, I think it is time for me to save more money to travel to somewhere much further away from Singapore. But anyway, Warren was the organisor that day, he planned to have dim sum and suggested 国泰, The Cathay restaurant. Overall, the dim sum was quite average with not much "WOW" factor, every dishes were pretty normal. I will give a 3/5 stars for this restaurant.

OUR FIRST TRIP TO BATAM (PART 2)

The hotel provided a complimentary breakfast. The varieties and the food quality were average. After which, we went back to Nagoya shopping mall to eat and shop again. We also went for a foot massage that was recommended by bloggers. The person made my laogong so painful =x which ended up that I had to massage for him. haha.

OUR FIRST TRIP TO BATAM (PART 1)

We took a short trip to our neighbour country, Batam, after our Taiwan trip. My friend recommended us to stay in Ihotel which was 5 mins walk to Nagoya shopping mall. The shopping mall was big and almost 80% of the shops were open. The facilities and the service of the hotel were fabulous. But the sound proofing of the room was slightly not up to the standard, we can hear people closing their door from our room.

Batam was a place to relax yourself by slowing down your pace from the city environment. But one thing we hate about Batam was the transportation within the country. There were only taxis that can bring you around. Therefore, whenever you leaves the shopping malls, there will be taxi uncle asking you to board their taxi. But since our hotel was within walking distance to Nagoya shopping mall, we saved on the transportation cost.

FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATION @ JPOT

This year, my sister decided to celebrate father day at Jpot. Jpot is one of her favourite steamboat restaurant. I have to say that I would recommend this restaurant to my friends too. The ingredients were all very fresh and tasty as compared to other steamboat restaurants. There were also a lot of varieties to choose from on the menu. Furthermore, if you do not like to share your pot with a lot of people, the restaurant also cater individual pot. There are a number of soup bases for you to choose from like laksa, ba kut teh, ginseng chicken and etc. My favourite was their laksa soup base. Overall, I will give this restaurant 4/5 stars =D.

GRADUATION TRIP 2011 DAY 10 @ TAIPEI - JIUFEN (台北市 - 九份老街) ( (PART 3)

九份老街 is a place that is located within the hills in the northeast of Taiwan. There are lots of stalls selling Taiwan famous snacks and dishes. We get there by taking a train and bus. To us, it was a small town. It took us about 1 hour to finish exploring the area. After which, we headed back to ximenting for last minute shopping before we dragged our luggage to the airport.

It was a shopping day for us in 台北 at 五分埔. 五分埔 has a lot of ladies and mens clothings. But most of the mens clothings are not to my laogong likings. Overall it was very nice place to shop =D Highly recommended for ladies.
